Eager and Willing

A poem by a couple who had become disconnected. They wrote this after their 12th session and one year of marriage counseling when they had refound each other.
Exhausted we keep failing
Alone and distant
Growing further apart
Except having faith
Refusing to give up.
Allowing for new habits
New patterns created
Determined, working together.
We look forward to the future
Into each day we step
Listening for the ways to
Love one another
Insisting on
Never
