The Nurtured Heart Approach for Difficult Children

The Nurtured Heart Approach is a form of child counseling developed for difficult children by Howard Glasser, whom I regard as the top child therapist in the world. Howard was a difficult child himself. He knows how children who struggle feel. His graduate studies gave him hope of some answers for children. However, when he tried these approaches with children, they did not work.

Howard became discouraged and stepped away from private practice. During his time of reflection he spent time with Dr. Patch Adams. Patch helped him find himself. Howard then decided to disregard all the ineffective theories for children and developed an approach that would have had deep meaning to him as a child. The approach is powerful and simple. The results are phenomenal.

Now thousands of struggling children worldwide have been transformed. Many of these children would have been "given up on" by the experts using other approaches. Howard defied the odds and won. The Nurtured Heart Approach for difficult children has been proven to be amazingly effective with thousands of children. Children in trouble with juvenile court, struggling with ADHD, extremely negative behaviors, and even children suffering from deep emotional problems have found success, power, and victory with this approach.
